Valentin Philippe La Chaussée was born in 1772, son of Dr. Philippe La Chaussée (abt. 1728–abt. 1808) and Rosalie Bourgeois (1732–1780).
Valentin married Pelagie Rose Richard (born in 1773; daughter of Jean Marie Richard and Rosalie Bourgeois). Their known children were:
